Earl A. Ross

Earl A. Ross, 84, of Fremont, OH passed away on February 1, 2014 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont, OH. He was born on April 14, 1929 in Fremont, OH the son of Willard E. and Mary (Benlien) Ross. He attended St. Ann Elementary School and was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School.

Earl married Patricia A. Emick on July 30, 1949 at St. Ann Catholic Church and she preceded him in death on August 9, 2010. He was employed as a Foreman at Warner Mechanical for many years and was an active member of Local 50 for sixty-five years.

Earl was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a social member of the Fremont V.F.W. He enjoyed wood working, hunting and fishing.

Earl is survived by his children, Catherine Woessener, Jeffersonville, KY, Ralph (Gail) Ross, Clyde, OH, Mark (Marcia) Ross, Luckey, OH, Rose Gonya, Green Springs, OH, William (Cindy) Ross, Fremont, OH; sister, Rose Foos, Fremont, OH; brother, Richard Ross, Fremont, OH; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia A. Ross; son, Charles Ross; sisters, Betty Borer and Rita Grove; brothers, Joseph and Paul Ross.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, February 6, 2014; 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating. The family will greet visitors from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the service at the church.
