Dwayne L. Austin, Sr.

Dwayne L. Austin, 51, of Fremont, OH passed away on December 2, 2023 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH.  He was born on September 28, 1972 in Chicago, IL the son of Raymond Austin and Phyllis Fluellen.  He was a graduate of Taft High School and received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Devry College which he did until he became ill.

Dwayne married Renee Cooks on September 22, 2022 in Fremont, OH and she survives.  He loved to watch football and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.  Dwayne also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Dwayne is survived by his wife, Renee Austin; children, Dwayne Jr., Dlisa, Dejah, Darrin, Daylynn and Deshaun Austin; father, Raymond Austin; twin brother, Dwight Austin, sisters, Elizabeth and Carolyn Fluellen; stepchildren, Imani Bailey and Elijah Starks and seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Fluellen and his niece Chaquita Fluellen.

Visitation:  Monday, December 11, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
