Dorothy Louise Stacy

Dorothy Louise Stacy, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1936 in Logan, WV to Ben and Fannie (Kinser) Moreland. 

Dorothy married Herman L. Stacy on January 13, 1956 in Logan County, WV and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2022. She worked at St. Francis in Green Springs, OH and then retired after many years of service from Curwood. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Dorothy is survived by her children, Patricia A. (Ron) Young, Fremont, OH, Emmagene (Jeff) Hackenburg, Clyde, OH and Robert L. Stacy, Put-in-Bay, OH; siblings, Frankie McCoy, Fremont, OH, Sue Ann Stacy, of Michigan; grandchildren, Ron Young, Scott (Ashley) Young and Laura (Chad) Beebe, Diana (Jesse Freedman) Hackenburg, Aaron (Jacquelynn) Hackenburg and Adam Hackenburg, Angela (Joshua) Pocock, Matthew, Morgan (Marcus Funderwhite), Marshall, McKenna Stacy and Destiney (Randy) Langston, Nevaeh Langston; fourteen great grandchildren and one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Judith Black; siblings, Jack Moreland, Beatrice Johnson, Billy Ray Moreland, Pauline Endicott, Juanita Knuckles, Bobby Moreland, Mary Moreland and Nancy Moreland.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Green Springs Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in Dorothy’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
