Dorothy “Lee” Meek

Dorothy “Lee” Meek, 83, of Fisher Dr, Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 surrounded by her family at Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 11, 1929 in Sandusky, OH, the daughter of Harold and Lydia (Justi) Speir. She was a 1947 graduate of Sandusky High School.

Lee married Charles “Chuck” H. Meek on July 4, 1953 in Sandusky, OH and he survives. She was an Interior Decorator for Tschumy-Fine Furniture and for Thingamajigs in Fremont. Lee was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking. Lee also enjoyed her monthly dinners with her cousins. She loved interior design and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Lee is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles “Chuck” H. Meek, Fremont, OH; children, Amy (Dennis) Schwartz, Columbus, OH, Greg (Ann Marie) Meek, Fremont, OH; daughter-in-law, Kim Meek, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Shawn Zimmerman, Dawn Hedrick, Michael Meek, Erica and Michelle Meek; great grandchildren, Tyler Hedrick and Jackson Meek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Meek and sister, Beverly Buckley.

Visitation: Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Memorial Service: Sunday, April 14, 2013; 3:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Keith Koppenhofer officiating.

Private Burial will take place prior to the service at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
