Donald Keith Miesle

Donald Keith Miesle, 94 of Fremont, OH passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Valley View Care Center. He was born on August 11, 1930 in Fremont, OH to Urban and Anna (Edmier) Miesle. 

Donald married Mary Jane Webb on April 24, 1954 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and she survives. He retired after many years of service as a scheduler and planner production control Brush Beryllium (Materion). Donald was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister, devoted to the Divine Mercy Chaplet and also lead the rosary at the church, Bethany Place and Valley View. He enjoyed volunteering at the soup kitchen, the Liberty Center, the Sandusky Organized Teens and for Project Read. Donald loved playing cards, bingo and tinkering in his workshop. 

Donald is survived by his wife of seventy years, Mary Jane Miesle; children, Brenda (Denny) Breier, Woodville, OH, Neal (Jane) Miesle, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Nancy (Thomas) Read, Gum Spring, VA, Kathy Whisler, Fremont, OH; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tina Rimelspach; grandchildren, Janelle and Tommy; sister, Joan Zyski; brothers, Richard, Robert and James Miesle. 

Visitation will take place on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October15, 2024, 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church 709 Croghan St, Fremont, OH 43420. 

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Donald’s family prefers memorials be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839
