Donald “Kevin” MacLeod, 56, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He was born June 26, 1963 in Pompton Plains, NJ to Farquhar John and Ruth June (Fulcher) MacLeod.
Kevin served in the U.S. Navy as a submariner for sixteen years. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Navy “E” Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal; Meritorious Unit Commendation (2); Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3); Armed Forces Service Medal; Good Conduct Award (4).
Kevin married Cynthia “Cindy” Hess on December 31, 2002 at Clyde Baptist Church and she survives. He was the owner and operator of Fins & Things in Woodville, OH. Kevin loved the fish store, especially his customers. He attended New Hope Vineyard Church and volunteered at Compassionate Ministries. Kevin was a handyman and had a wonderful sense of humor and smile. He would do anything for anyone. Kevin loved his stepdaughter Kristen.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Cynthia “Cindy” MacLeod, Fremont, OH; children, Lindsay, Brittany, Kirstian, Jillayne, and Zach; stepchildren, Shane and Kristen Criswell both of Fremont, OH; siblings, Rod (Karen) MacLeod of NY, Douglas (Cathy) MacLeod of MI and Kathy (Mark) Elliott of IN; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private Services will be held for the family.
