David Allen Severs

David Allen Severs, 58, of Fremont, OH passed away on January 22, 2021 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born on October 25, 1962 in Fremont, OH the son of Robert Lee and Faye (Hoffman) Severs.  He was a graduate of Lakota High School and Vanguard Vocational School.

Dave married Sally Killinger on March 23, 1985 at St. Mark Lutheran Church and she preceded him in death on January 5, 2012.  He was a jack of all trades and master of none working various construction jobs throughout his life.  He enjoyed his Harley and racing dirt trucks at Fremont and Attica Speedways.  He also rebuilt cars and liked shooting.

Dave is survived by his children, Jaclyn (Michael Gruver, Jr.) Severs and Javen Gooslin both of Fremont; mother, Faye Rimelspach; siblings, Rick Severs, Frederick (Helen) Severs, Vern (Lisa) McClure and Kelly Smith all of Fremont, Brian (Tom) Severs of California; grandson, Drake Severs and the family dog “the fat one.”

He is preceded in death by his father, wife, Sally Severs and brother, Wayne Severs.

Visitation: Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

The use of face masks is required while indoors and social distancing will be observed throughout visitation with wait times taking place outdoors. If you would prefer, you may express your condolences below or call the funeral home at 419-332-6409 to request that your name be signed in the guest book.
