David A. Tuckerman, 78, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Bellevue Hospital. He was born on February 6, 1943 in Fremont to Alvin Tuckerman and Sylvia (Fremion) Earhart. He was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School. David married Joanne Haubert in 2003 in Kansas, OH and she survives. David was a tool & die maker at Whirlpool Corporation for sixteen years. He then worked at New Departure in Sandusky, where he retired after many years of service.
David was a member of Grace Brethren Chapel and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing chess and collecting clocks.
David is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Joanne Tuckerman, Fremont, OH; children, David (Katie) Tuckerman, Columbus, OH, Kristine (Ralph Mancini) Brown, Fremont, OH, Eric Tuckerman, Clyde, OH and Joel Tuckerman, Perrysburg, OH; stepchildren, John Pesnell and Amy Pesnell-Black both of Flat Rock, OH, Leanne Stumph, St. Petersburg, FL, Amy Betts, Bella Vista, AR, Brian Nighswander, Bellevue, OH and Robin Phillips, Woodville, OH; siblings, Linda (Richard) Miller, Fremont, OH and John (Marina) Tuckerman of Montana; grandchildren, Greggory and Matthew Tuckerman, Adam Brown, Robert Mancini, Ralphie and Angela Mancini, Trevor Tuckerman and Mitchell Tuckerman; seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; previous wife, Marilyn Tuckerman; and step-children David and Chad Pesnell.
A graveside service will take place Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Bakertown Cemetery, Clyde, OH.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 11, 11:30 am at Grace Brethren Chapel, 1820 OH-590, Gibsonburg, OH 43431.
