Cynthia Irene Erchenbrecher, 74, formerly of Fremont, OH, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born on July 8, 1950, in Fremont, OH to Edwin and Irene (Kowalski) Erchenbrecher. Cynthia was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Hocking Technology College.
Throughout her career, Cynthia served as a Health and Safety Director for various companies, demonstrating her commitment to the well-being of others. An avid art enthusiast, Cynthia spent much of her time taking art classes and attending different workshops to hone her skills and indulge her passion. She also had a deep love for her cats, who brought her great joy.
Cynthia is survived by her siblings, Vern (Lauren) Erchenbrecher, North Olmstead, OH, Theresa (Jeff) Heaton, Lawerence, MI, Susan (David) Weber, Toledo, OH; nieces and nephews, Krystin (Michael) Todd, Amanda (Ryan) Carlson, Nick (Akiko) Weber, Kaitlyn Weber; two great nieces, one great nephew; special cousins, Delores and Jeanette Oleksa and numerous cousins whom she adored.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Irene Erchenbrecher.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 1 to 4 pm at the FOP Lodge 35, 1013 Arlington St, Fremont, OH 43420.
A Graveside Service will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 11:00 am.
Memorials can be made in Cynthia’s honor to the Sandusky County Humane Society, 1315 N River Rd, Fremont, OH 43420.
