Christopher Robert Corthell, 43, of Bowling Green, OH died Thursday, November 8, 2012 in Fremont, OH. He was born on May 25, 1969 in Fremont to Robert “Barney” C. and Mary Lou (Depinet) Corthell. He was a 1987 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance and Marketing from Miami University of Ohio in 1991.
Chris married Mary A. Davenport on November 22, 2003 in Pt. Canaveral, FL and she survives. He worked as a Para Planner for Ameriprise Financial in Bowling, Green, OH. Chris was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Bowling Green. Chris was an avid OSU fan. He enjoyed traveling, exercising, swimming and spending time with his children. Chris had a very special bond with his grandmother, Dolores.
Chris is survived by his wife, Mary A. Davenport-Corthell, Bowling Green, OH; children, Charles “Charlie” Corthell, Fremont, OH and Kennedi Corthell, Bowling Green, OH; parents, Robert “Barney” C. and Mary Lou Corthell, Fremont, OH; sister, Connie (Jeff) Sessler, Fremont, OH; niece and nephew, Kristin and Jordan Sessler; father-in-law, Randy (Theresa) Davenport, Green Springs, OH; brother-in-law, Kevin (Christie) Davenport, Berea, OH.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dolores and Cletus Depinet and Robert M. and Dorothy Corthell.
Visitation: Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil at 7:30 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with visitation at the church from 10:30 to 11:30, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH. Fr. Kenneth Lill and Fr. Mark Davis will officiate.
Burial: Thursday, November 15, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
