Christopher L. Etzwiler

Christopher L. Etzwiler, 63, of Fremont OH, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.  He was born on December 12, 1959 in Fremont, OH to George and Dolores (Haubert) Etzwiler.  Christopher was a 1979 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.  Christopher married Rebecca Singleton on July 1, 1994 and she preceded him on April 6, 2014. He worked for Whirlpool for many years and was a member of New Hope Vineyard Church and an original member of the Ohio Safety Team Unit 154 for twenty-six years.  Christopher enjoyed chasing storms, CB Radios and trains.

Christopher is survived by his daughters, Jami (Ayoola) Sobayo, Fremont, OH, Stephani (Greg) Preston, Fremont, OH, Glenna Doss-Etzwiler, Norwalk, OH, Espi (Elijah Burling) Romero, Fremont, OH; son, Levi Etzwiler, Fremont, OH; sisters, Sharon (Richard) Ohms, Fremont, OH, Marcia (Sue Belden) Etzwiler, Fremont, OH; sister-in-law, Nancy Etzwiler, Fremont, OH; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his dog, Chance.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers, Loren Etzwiler, Vincent Etzwiler and Michael “Dink” Etzwiler.

Visitation will take place on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023; 10:00 am at New Hope Vineyard Church, 2507 Hayes Ave, Fremont, OH 43420.

Burial will be at Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made in his honor to New Hope Vineyard Church or the American Heart Association.
