Chavis J. Freeman

July 9, 1984 — August 27, 2024

Fremont

Chavis J. Freeman, 40, of Fremont, OH passed unexpectedly in an auto accident on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. He was born on July 9, 1984 in Fremont, OH to Brett Freeman and Mia (Jones) Heidelburg. Chavis was a man of passion, and he showed his passion through the music he liked and anything surrounding music, whether it’s putting together speakers, hooking them up for his loved ones in their cars or their home. The music he loved listening to spoke of him in many different ways. Chavis also liked working with his hands and had an entrepreneurial spirit where he would help anyone who called; he would figure out a way to help, get it done all the while being happy to do it. His loyalty to others he cared for was undeniable. His laugh was so infectious, you couldn’t help but laugh with him. He was a jokester and knew how to keep it going. Chavis also loved to play pool and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Chavis is survived by his mother, Mia Heidelburg and stepfather, James R. Heidelburg, Fremont, OH; father, Brett Freeman, Napoleon, OH; children, Terahis Irons, Columbus, OH, Briandre Freeman, Brijon Lindsey, Sekani Freeman, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Shay “Doo-Doo” Freeman, Fremont, OH, Brittney Freeman, of Pennsylvania, Kayla Chico, Atlanta, GA, Tiffani Chico, of Pennsylvania, Denae James, Derae James, Anthony Chico, Brett Freeman, Jr.  Kenya Van Horne, all of Fremont, OH, Keanu Crowe, Fostoria, OH, Braylon Freeman, Dasia Freeman, both of Port Clinton, OH, Montravion Simms, Memphis, TN and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
