Charline Fae (Thompson) Moyer

Charline Fae (Thompson) Moyer, 91, of Fremont, OH died early Friday morning surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 21, 1929 in Yuma, AZ to Charlie Henry and Flossie Mae Thompson.  She graduated from Yuma Union High School in 1946 and attended Arizona State University.   Charline married Robert Howard Moyer on June 15, 1951 at Immaculate Conception Church in Yuma and he survives.  She was actively involved in Campfire, The Hayes Garden Club, St. Francis Senior Guild, Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society and Sunday School program, the Fremont Country Club Ladies Golf League, and the Port Clinton Yacht Club.  Charline loved to sail on Lake Erie and in the Virgin Islands with her husband and was the best First Mate, mom and grandma.  She enjoyed playing bridge.

Charline is survived by her seven children, Roberta Moyer, Charles (Jane) Moyer, Elizabeth (Garry) Kamstra, Susan (William) Barbour, Richard (Lisa) Moyer, Joseph Moyer and Jennifer (Mark) Cramer.  She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Glenys Thompson Schmidt, Gerry Logan and Earl Kaul; granddaughter, Sara Barbour; great-grandchildren, Blake, Jordan and Faith Kamstra and daughter-in-law, Deb Moyer.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful “companions and friends” who so lovingly and tenderly cared for mom over the past few years. Also thank you to Home Instead and Heartland Hospice for their expertise and services rendered with compassion and care.  We appreciate all of you beyond our abilities to express.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial, for family only, will take place on Monday, April 26, 2021, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  The service will be live streamed on the Sacred Heart website.  Go to sacredheart-fremont.org and click on live stream.

Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Fremont following services.

Memorials donations can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Bishop Hoffman Catholic Schools.
