Carole Keller

Carole (Warner) Keller, 91, of Fremont, OH went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont. Carole was born on October 26, 1933 to John and Ursula (Fritz) Warner in Port Clinton, OH. She was a 1951 graduate of Port Clinton High School and married Russell Keller on November 27, 1968 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Russ preceded her in death on January 5, 1996.

Carole was the Cafeteria Manager for Croghan Elementary School in Fremont. She also owned Mayle Drapery with her husband Russ. She was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Carole enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and her Bunco dice group, as well as antique cars with her husband. “Grandma Crickie” as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren loved to spend time with her family and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Carole is survived by her children, Vickie Snyder, Fremont, OH, Timothy Connors, Fremont, OH and Reggie (Bob) Schmidlin, Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Mindy (Chad) Koenig, Betsy (Rich Thomas) Burkett, Emily Carr, Benjamin Burkett, M.D., Douglas Connors, Kevin Connors, Steven (Sierra Toppe) Snyder, Cory (Michelle)  Schmidlin, Andrew (Kelsey) Connors, Shelby (Dwayne Paugh) Connors, twenty great grandchildren and dear friend until the end, Lynn Quick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russell Keller; son, Lester “LJ” Connors; daughter, Kathleen Arnold; sister, Virginia (Adam) Mikolajczyk; son-in-law, Russell Snyder and David Arnold; grandsons, Craig Connors and Michael Carr; stepfather, Raymond Lemon and longtime companion, Charles Bell.

A special thanks to her exceptional care teams at Valley View Care Center, Heartland Hospice and her faithful prayer warriors.

A private celebration of life will take place.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials can be made in Carole’s honor to Sandusky County Food Pantry.
