Carmen R. Moreno, 80, of Fremont, OH, devoted catholic, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother peacefully went to be with her Almighty Father Thursday, November 7, 2013. She was born on January 12, 1933 in Aguascalientes, Aguas., Mexico to Refugio and Juana (Martinez Auguilar) Reyes.
She married Salvador J. Moreno on January 15, 1950 in Mexico and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2012.
Carmen was a Homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed her flower garden, singing and all the beauty of nature. She also loved to watch Spanish Television and playing Bingo. Carmen had a great love for her family and was always friendly with a smile on her face.
Carmen is survived by her sons, Refugio (Marlene) of Michigan, Joe (Kim S.) and Lazaro Moreno, both of Fremont, Alfredo of Tiffin, Frank of Fremont and Noe of Texas; daughters, Olga Lopez, Soila Esquivel and Rosa (Wade) Parker, all of Fremont, Diana (Ian) Johnson of California; seven brothers and sisters; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Salvador J. Moreno; son, Den Moreno and eight brothers and sisters.
Visitation: Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH with a vigil at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, November 11, 2013; 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH, with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery
Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
