Burdette "Bud" L. Wolfe

Burdette “Bud” L. Wolfe, 99, of Fremont passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 surrounded by his family at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont. Bud was born on August 30, 1924 to Orson and Roma (Humberger) Wolfe in Gibsonburg, OH. Bud married Elizabeth Cress on November 12, 1961 at St. John’s Church in Fremont and she preceded him in death on April 30, 1984. 

Bud was a truck driver for many years, working for O.L.D. Trucking, K.O.T. Trucking and Eckrich after many years he retired in 2004. Bud enjoyed going to breakfast with the “crew”, walking his dogs to the park and feeding the squirrels. 

Bud is survived by his children, Kristie (Lyle) Hoffman, Fremont, OH, Kevin (Stacy) Wolfe, Glendale, AZ, Brian (Jody) Wolfe, Phoenix, AZ, Barry Wolfe, AZ, Marcia Cross; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; brother, Herbert Smith, Sandusky, OH.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elizabeth Wolfe; daughters, Vicky Woomer, Janet Hoffman, Diane Blue; siblings, Robert Wolfe, Harriet Langley and Lyle Smith.

A burial will take place at a later date at Four Mile House Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in Bud’s honor to the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
