Bonnie L. Slane

Bonnie L. Slane passed away on her 94th birthday, Friday, March 7, 2025, at Edgewood Manor in Port Clinton, OH. She was born on March 7, 1931, in Mountain, MO, to Fred and Ada (Duncan) Gundel. Bonnie married Lester L. Slane in August 1950, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2017. She began her career at Woodall, which later became Aeroquip and retired as a supervisor after twenty-eight years of service.

Bonnie enjoyed fishing, boating where she was known for keeping everyone on the lake until they met the fishing limit. She and her husband spent their retirement in South Texas, enjoying the sunshine and making numerous friends. Above all, Bonnie loved family gatherings which were filled with card and board games that allowed her competitive spirit to show through.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Sandra Emrich, Michael (Julee) Slane, both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Julie (Keith) Sanderson Meckley, Holly Sanderson Kellum, Christopher (Dian) Slane, Amanda (Darby) Slane Willis, Cheryl Slane, Asheigh (Brian) Emrich Swinehart, Justin (Lindsay) Emrich; great grandchildren, Laurence, Adien, Natalie, Ethan, Brody, Brynn, Addison, Emersyn, Lillie, Jackson, Rhett, Emma, Avery, Harper; great great grandson, Elijah; sisters, Sue (Arlous) Dalton, Joy Cargile and Marge Banks.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Pamela Sanderson-Griffith; son, Roger Slane; siblings, Bob, Morris, Marie, Betty, Sharon, Edward and Bill.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor Bonnie's memory and share the cherished moments they had with her.
