Beverly J. Humbert, 70, of Green Springs, OH passed away at her home on Sunday, June 23, 2013. She was born on August 30, 1942 in Sandusky, OH, the daughter of Paul “Joseph” and Erva “Jane” (Wadsworth) Humbert. She was a 1960 graduate of Green Springs High School. Bev then graduated from Cosmetology School and obtained her Beauty Operator’s License.
Bev was an Instructor at Fremont Beauty School for fifteen years and then worked as a Beautician in a Salon, retiring in 2001. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church. She also bowled on the Green Springs Women’s Bowling League and played on the Women’s Dart Ball League. Bev loved to cook, crochet, watch westerns and NASCAR, decorate cakes and listen to Elvis. She especially loved to babysit for her nieces and nephews.
Bev is survived by her siblings, Marilyn Humbert, Fremont, OH, Clinton (Gaynel) Humbert, Republic, OH and Carolyn (James) Edmonds, Green Springs, OH; nieces and nephews, Christy Billings, Michael Shoemaker, Kurt Humbert, Aaron Humbert, Shelly Weaver, Wes Reed and Adrienne Sandwisch; many great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Jim Shoemaker; her beloved golden retriever, Duke.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phylis Shoemaker and niece, Lori Shoemaker.
