Betty Jane Knieriemen

Betty Jane Knieriemen, 92, of Green Springs, OH passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Eden Springs Nursing Center. She was born April 24, 1925 in Rocky River, OH, the daughter of Michael Karres and Mabel Irene (Renders) Bomer. She was a 1943 graduate of North Olmsted High School.

Betty married Robert Earl Knieriemen on October 13, 1945 in North Olmsted and he preceded her in death in 1982. She worked at Heidelberg University as a cook for over twenty years until she retired. Betty enjoyed time with her family and friends, playing cards and games, traveling and helping her family.

Betty is survived by her six children, David (Susan) Knieriemen, Fremont, OH, Jane (Rick) Mautz, Fresno, OH, Tamara (Jan) Shadle, Jenera, OH, Karla (Ron) Tusing, Norwalk, OH, Leslie (Dana) McQueen, Shallotte, NC and Todd (Sheryl) Knieriemen, Green Springs, OH; nineteen grandchildren; five step grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; seventeen step great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Earl Knieriemen; sister, Lenora Reynolds and great-great granddaughter Kayelynn.

Visitation: Thursday from 5 – 7 pm at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N. Broadway St, Green Springs, OH.

Service: Friday, July 14, 2017, 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Christine Tobergte officiating.

Burial: College Hill Cemetery, Bloomville, OH.
