Betty J. Schell

Betty J. Schell, 69, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Heritage Village in Clyde, OH.  She was born on March 2, 1951 in Shelby, OH to Donald and Pauline (Amert) Brooks, Sr.   Betty married Kenneth L. Schell on November 10, 1979 in Fremont, OH and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2018.  She worked for Eaton Controls for many years. Betty was a former member of the Fremont Moose Lodge and a current member of the Eagles and VFW.  She enjoyed reading, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Julie Baker of Michigan; stepdaughters, Kim (Ronnie) Erbs, Titusville, FL and Shari (Jim) Covert, Fremont, OH; mother, Pauline Brooks, Clyde, OH; sisters, Charlene (Joe) Barrett and Rosemary Drown, both of Clyde, OH; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father; husband; son-in-law, Brian Baker and brother, Donald Brooks, Jr.

There will be no services at this time for Betty.

Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens at a later date.

Memorials can be made in Betty’s honor to North Shore Animal Shelter.
