Betty J. Broshious

Betty J. Broshious, age 86, of Fremont, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 25, 1934 in Luckey, Ohio, the daughter of Harry E. and Amelia M. (Hammersmith) Carr.  Betty married Dale Broshious on October 25, 1952 at the Methodist Church in Pemberville, Ohio.  He preceded her in death on October 9, 2011. She worked for Fremont City Schools as a matron/custodian until her retirement in 1996.

Betty is survived by her children, Shirley (David) LaBonte, Donald Broshious, James (Tammy) Broshious, Patricia (Patrick) Gibbs all of Fremont and Jeanne (Michael) Havey of Belding, Michigan; nine grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Broshious; son, Robert Broshious; grandson, Michael Gibbs; and great-granddaughter, Allison Broshious; siblings, George, Joseph, Harold Carr, Geraldine Shockley, Mary Carr, Barbara Showman and Phyllis Marinoff.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Alex Alafita officiating.

Burial will be at Four Mile House Cemetery in Fremont, OH.
