Barbara K. Elfring

Barbara K. Elfring, 80, of Urbana, OH, passed away on December 27, 2023 at ProMedica Hospital in Fremont, OH.  She was born in Fremont, OH to Robert Franklin and Audrey Louise (Starrick) Elfring on March 11, 1943.  Barb was a 1961 graduate of St. Joseph High School. 

Barb worked in retail for most of her life at J. Baker Shoes and Buckeye Mart.  She also was employed by Wright-Patt Credit Union.  She enjoyed shopping and traveling in her spare time and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. 

Barb is survived by her brothers; Michael (Kelly) Elfring, Paul (Kim) Elfring, both of Clyde, OH, James (Sandy) Elfring and David (Teresa) Elfring, both of Fremont, OH, along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her parents, sisters; Sr. Audrey Marie Elfring SND, Karen Sergent and infant sister Sharon Elfring, brother; Christopher Elfring; lifelong companion, James Kerns.

Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024; 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont OH. 

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont OH.

Memorials can be made in Barbara’s honor to Humane Society of Sandusky County.
