Amey Pruitt

Amey J. Pruitt, 57, originally of Green Springs, OH passed away on August 21, 2022 at home in Barboursville, WV. She was born on April 13, 1965, the daughter of Jack and Coralene (Byers) Watts. She was a 1983 graduate of Clyde Senior High School. Amey married David Pruitt on August 4, 1984 at Clyde, OH. A career Navy family, she lived in San Diego, CA, Long Beach, CA, Pearl City, HI and Millington, TN.

Amey is survived by her husband Dave; daughter Sara Pruitt, Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Colene Belmont, Murfreesboro, TN, Haley Williams, Collierville, TN and Norma Bailey, Knoxville, TN; brothers, Joe Watts, Fremont, OH and Jeff Watts, Fremont, OH; sisters Connie Thompson, Fremont, OH and Kathy Frey, Fremont, OH; along with several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Amey was preceded in death by her son, Brent Pruitt; her parents; sisters Cheryl Winke and Kim Morlock.

Visitation will be held at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, Fremont, OH on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. A celebration of life gathering will be hosted immediately following at her sister Kathy’s home in Fremont, OH.

Amey will be buried next to her son at Bowen Cemetery, Barboursville, WV in a private ceremony.
