Alvin L. Wheeler “Al”

Alvin “Al” L. Wheeler, 85, of Findlay, OH passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Parkview Care Center in Fremont. He was born December 19, 1934 in Woodville, OH to Berton and Vernata (Blanchard) Wheeler.

Al married Jane Gillmor on June 8, 1957 in Fremont and she preceded him in death on February 5, 2018. He was self-employed working construction. Al was a member of Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, watching sports, especially football, playing golf, scrapping and hunting mushrooms.

Al is survived by his children, Leroy (Dawn) Wheeler, Dean Wheeler and Edward Wheeler, all of Kansas, OH, Benjamin Wheeler, Fremont, OH; sister, Arlene Blackburn, Bowling Green, KY; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jane Wheeler; siblings, Viola Williams; Virginia Ptacek, Richard Wheeler and Berton Wheeler, Jr.

Visitation: Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
