Alice “Geneva” Edmonds, 82, of Fremont, OH passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Bellevue Care Center. She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1932 in Mouth Card, KY the daughter of Alex and Gaynell (Ramey) Coleman.
Geneva married Charles R. Edmonds on June 16, 1951 in Clintwood, VA and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1997. She was a member of the First Church of Christ and volunteered at the Senior Citizen Center in Clyde.
Geneva is survived by her children, Rose (Robert) McGowan, Clyde, James E. (Carolyn) Edmonds, Green Springs and Barbara (Paul Parker) Metzger, Lewis Center, OH; sisters, Patty (Charles) Justice, Pikeville, KY and Geraldine (Paul) Belcher, Conaway, VA; grandchildren, Melody (Peter) Hoffman, Kathy (Dave) Myers, Sean McGowan, Matthew and Ashley Metzger and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Edmonds; sisters, Mary Lou Adknis and Joanne Coleman.
Visitation
: Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service
: Friday, April 10, 2015; 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ted Bowen officiating.
