Alexander “Alex” M. Toth, 83, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, with his daughter by his side, at Heritage Village of Clyde. He was born on July 29, 1933 in Fremont, the son of Alexander and Margaret E. (Baskey) Toth. He was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
Alex served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War, from 1952 to 1956, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He married Anna R. Stotz on December 9, 1955, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Fremont and she preceded him in death on June 20, 2011.
Alex worked at Ford Motor Company for thirty-three years, retiring as the Maintenance Superintendent at the Sandusky plant. He was a former member of the Moose and American Legion and a member of Sandusky Valley Ham Radio Club and A.R.E.S. He enjoyed fishing, camping, ham radios and reading.
Alex is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Toth, Fremont, OH; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna R. Toth and brother, Allen Toth of Vermillion, OH.
There will be no services.
