Albert L. Sabo, Jr.

Albert L. Sabo, Jr. 75, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Bellevue Hospital.  He was born on February 8, 1948 in Fremont, OH to Albert L. and Violet (Horvath) Sabo, Sr.  Albert was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Albert married Maria C. Juarez on March 1, 1968 in Monroe, MI and she survives.  He worked in the Small Tool Department at Whirlpool and retired in 2013 after forty-two years of service.  Albert enjoyed playing chess, fishing and woodworking.  He was very passionate in his political beliefs and loved being a handy-man, jack of all trades.

Albert is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Maria C. Sabo; daughters, Anna (Brett) Kimmet, Port Clinton, OH, Linda (Tyson) Edmonds, Fremont, OH, Marla (Eric) Eisenman, Amanda (Jeremy) Boyer, all of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Kendra (Brian) Lopez, Kyla Kimmet, Kira Kimmet, Tyler Edmonds, Andrew Edmonds, Zachary Edmonds, Grant Mapus, Griffin Mapus, Lillian Boyer, Leighton Boyer; five great grandchildren and since Albert was an only child, his in-laws became his siblings; Diego (Maria) Juarez, Frank Juarez, John Juarez, Lupe (Scott) Humberger, Maria (Randy) Burns, Blanca (Mike) Snyder, Delia (Garry) Clark, Esther Fanning, Janie (Chris) Smith, Timmy Juarez, Daniel Juarez and Ben (Tina) Juarez.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, beginning at Noon at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made in his honor to Bethesda Care Center.
