Alba Marguerite Selvey

Alba Marguerite Selvey, 89, of Green Springs, OH passed away on February 14, 2015. She was born on July 29, 1925 in Tiffin, OH the daughter of Ernest Victor and Stella Louisa (Zuliano) Botton. She attended St. Agnes Convent in Fond Du Lac, WI and was a 1943 graduate of Calvert High School. She married Manley Clay Selvey on December 31, 1946 in Sandusky, OH and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1975.

Alba worked for ODNR until she retired. She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Clyde. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.

Alba is survived by her children, Kathleen Marie Selvey, Cleveland, Dianne Kaye (Brent Alan Minch) Selvey, Clyde, Carrie Anne (Edwin) Molyet, Fremont, Jacob Sanford (Julie) Selvey, Clyde and William Joseph (Cindy) Selvey, Clyde; sisters, Margaret Hillman, Fremont, Gilda Traxler, and Lina Williams both Tiffin; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Manley Selvey; brothers, Pius and Louis Botton and sister, Mary Botton.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N. Broadway St., Green Springs, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, February 19, 2015; 10:30 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church, 609 Vine St., Clyde, OH with Fr. Edward Schleter officiating.
