Adeline E. Tittle, 88, of Morrison St, Fremont passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 12, 1924 in Mount Carmel, OH, the daughter of William and Amy (Homler) Michael.
Adeline married Clyde B. Tittle on June 27, 1948 in Dayton, OH and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1979. She retired in 1987 from Fremont City Schools where she was a Cook for twenty-one years. Prior to that Adeline worked at Tony’s Bakery and Winnes Nursing Home. She had also worked for Herbrand in Fremont.
Adeline was a Life member of the Eagles, a Life member of VFW Post #2947 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Women of The Moose, all of Fremont. She loved knitting, camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Adeline is survived by her children, Kate (Dave) Weaver, Pt. Clinton, OH, Raymond (Phyllis) Tittle, Leland, NC, Lynn (George) McCune, Waverly, OH, Diane Lance and Patricia (Joel) Boatman both of Fremont, OH; step children, Steve (Dagmar) Tittle of British Columbia, Canada, Susan Carter, South Bend, IN, Barb (Duncan) Howe, Hopkins, SC; sister, Susan Oberst, Fremont, OH; thirty grandchildren; fifty-nine great grandchildren; twenty-two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde B. Tittle; son, Milton Tittle; step sons, Barton Eaton and Grant Tittle; great granddaughter, Brooklyne Jahna; great great granddaughter, Alyanna Chon; sisters, Lucille Burmeister and Dorothy Michael; brothers, Ernest, Claude, John, Sherman, Wilbur “Dutch”, Carl and Oscar Michael; granddaughter, Tammy Heckman; special friend, Bill Bollenbacher.
