Lawrence “Tony” Anthony Giebel, 70, of Clyde, OH passed away at his home on October 2, 2023. He was born on February 28, 1953 in Fremont, OH the son of Larence and Roberta (Carnicom) Giebel. Tony served in the US Air Force from 1971 to 1975 receiving the National Defense Service Medal. Tony worked as an operator for RR Salvage and then worked as a crusher operator at Maple Grove Quary in Bettsville until he retired. He enjoyed old movies, die cast cars and Christmas decorating. He was most known for his fried chicken and loved to spend time with his family.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Angela (Ray) Inman, Clyde; step-children, Michael (Kimberly) Moore, Arlington, OH and Jessie (Randall) Pridemore-Sipperley, Fremont, Jonathan (Tracey) Moore, Amsden, OH and Jeremiah Moore, Fremont; brothers, Steve Giebel and Charlie (Felicia) Duffett both of Fremont; step-sister, Judy Duffett, Columbus; former wife, Roberta Moore, Arlington, OH; eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Watson.
Visitation: Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honor’s will also be provided by the VFW and American Legion.
